Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive evaluations, tailored to meet each client's specific needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' functional capabilities using diagnostic tests related to muscles, nerves, and joints in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
• Provide therapeutic interventions that include manual therapy techniques, exercises, and neuromuscular re-education, ensuring clients understand their care plan through hands-on instruction and motivation.
• Oversee and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) during treatment sessions while maintaining compliance with state regulations concerning supervision.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, and report any changes or concerns regarding patients to the appropriate team members.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary care conferences to review treatment progress and make necessary adjustments in collaboration with the entire healthcare team.
• Evaluate home environments for potential modifications, making recommendations that will enhance functional independence for clients following discharge.
• Engage with clients and their families, providing education about treatment protocols, device utilization, and strategies to support ongoing wellness.
• Stay updated on industry advancements in therapy techniques and practices to enhance quality of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients at the rehabilitation facility include individuals recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic conditions that impair mobility and daily functioning. We emphasize the importance of individualized care, recognizing the unique challenges each patient faces. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy (DPT preferred) from an accredited program.
• At least one year of experience as a physical therapist, preferably in an acute care or home care setting, integrating hands-on patient treatment with practical rehabilitation skills.
• Current and valid physical therapy license in New Jersey, in good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• A strong commitment to clinical excellence, teamwork, and a passion for positively impacting patient lives.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Ability to work productively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, showcasing problem-solving skills and resiliency.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with specialized therapeutic techniques, such as manual therapy or aquatic therapy.
• Background in working with geriatric populations or individuals with complex medical histories.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and healthcare documentation standards.
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing treatment plans that enhance patient mobility and confidence.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
