Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Amethyst Physical Therapy, you will:

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to determine physical capabilities and limitations and establish personalized treatment plans based on individual needs.
• Utilize a combination of therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and the use of advanced modalities to treat patients effectively.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure continuous improvement and recovery.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment strategies, enabling them to participate fully in their recovery process and understand their therapeutic goals.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to offer coordinated care and ensure that all aspects of a patient's wellbeing are addressed.
• Participate in ongoing professional development through workshops, seminars, and networking within the health and wellness community to stay current with industry practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic serves a diverse population of patients, including children, adults, and seniors, facing a variety of challenges such as post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, neurological disorders, and chronic pain conditions. As a therapist, you will adapt treatment modalities to meet the unique needs of each patient, fostering strength, mobility and confidence in restoring their daily activities.

Qualifications

The following qualifications are essential for this position:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in New Jersey.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate effective interactions with patients and team members.
• Proficiency in using electronic documentation systems and basic word processing software.
• A strong desire to learn and an openness to flexibility in treatment techniques to accommodate varying patient needs.

Preferred Experience

While we welcome candidates with different levels of experience, a minimum of two years of working as a Physical Therapist is preferred.
