This position is designed for remote work, allowing for a flexible schedule, with services provided in clients' homes or through our outpatient office. Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver individual therapy sessions in clients' homes or group therapy within our outpatient office setting, ensuring a personalized and effective therapeutic approach for each child.

• Facilitate specific intervention strategies focusing on anger management, coping mechanisms, and enhanced social skills, aiming to reduce high-risk behaviors such as self-injury or physical aggression.
\n
• Engage in active collaboration with the Child Family Treatment Team and other multidisciplinary professionals, sharing insights and coordinating efforts to better support the child and their family.
\n
• Document all therapeutic engagements thoroughly and submit required client documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, within specified deadlines.
\n
• Participate in monthly meetings to discuss case updates, share recommendations, and receive ongoing training and support from your peers and supervisors.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work primarily with children and adolescents aged 3 to 20 who experience developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. This role will engage with diverse families, utilizing culturally sensitive approaches to address unique needs and backgrounds. Bilingual skills in Spanish or Portuguese are highly valued, allowing for effective communication and support for our bilingual clientele.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field is mandatory.

• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license is required.

• Ability to provide a minimum of 5-10 hours of direct service per week during after-school hours (4 PM - 7 PM); weekend availability is a plus.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working within the developmental and intellectual disability (I/DD) sector.

• Experience providing positive behavior support and intervention strategies for children within educational or therapeutic settings.

• Familiarity with documentation requirements and therapeutic best practices as set forth by local and state regulations.

• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are necessary for in-home visitations.

• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits\n
