Key Responsibilities\n

• Co-facilitate childbirth education and postpartum peer support groups in collaboration with birth workers to provide resources and a supportive community for new parents.

• Engage in community outreach initiatives aimed at promoting psychological well-being and building support networks among birthing individuals and families.
\n
• Participate actively in clinical consultations and co-learning opportunities with multidisciplinary teams, enhancing knowledge sharing and collaborative care.
\n
• Maintain comprehensive clinical documentation in adherence to regulatory and organizational standards.
\n
• Provide individualized mental health assessments, counseling, and case management specifically tailored to the needs of African American birthing families.
\n
• Collaborate with prenatal care team members, including midwives, doulas, and lactation consultants, to ensure integrated and quality care for clients throughout their perinatal journey.

• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support the overall goals of the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be serving Black birthing families, addressing the unique psychological and emotional challenges they may face. By providing culturally-sensitive care, you will play a critical role in supporting mental wellness during the transformative experience of childbirth and parenthood.

Qualifications\n

• A valid clinical license is required (LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC).

• Master’s degree in a behavioral science or a related field from an accredited institution is mandatory.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of clients and colleagues.

• Demonstrated capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a remote team environment.
