As a Full-Time Mental Health Counselor, your primary responsibility will be to provide therapeutic support and guidance to clients navigating their mental, behavioral, and emotional challenges. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conducting thorough mental health evaluations during preliminary interviews, expertly documenting the client's background and progress from the initial consultation through the conclusion of treatment.

• Collaboratively designing and developing tailored treatment plans appropriate for individuals, couples, families, and groups based on evaluations and specific client needs.
\n
• Facilitating engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based methodologies to foster open communication and healing.
\n
• Monitoring and assessing client progress throughout their treatment journey, making necessary adjustments to ensure that their needs are continuously met.
\n
• Working with interdisciplinary teams, including doctors, nurses, social workers, and other mental health professionals, to coordinate holistic intervention strategies.
\n
• Following up with any psychiatrists and attending physicians concerning clients who may require hospitalization or additional medical support.
\n
• Identifying potential barriers to recovery, such as behavioral issues, and developing strategies to mitigate these challenges.

• Providing necessary support and guidance to family members and primary caregivers of clients to assist them in managing associated mental health challenges effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role as a mental health counselor will focus primarily on a diverse clientele, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and other mental health disorders. The compassionate care you provide will be instrumental in promoting mental wellness and resilience, ensuring that our clients feel heard and supported throughout their therapeutic journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• A minimum of two years of prior experience in a mental health counseling role.
\n
• Proficient in electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, to ensure meticulous documentation and client tracking.
\n
• Adequate understanding of the complex interactions between physical health, emotional well-being, and addiction issues.
\n
• Comprehensive knowledge of the best practices as laid out by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, demonstrating exceptional interpersonal skills consistent with our supportive culture.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience managing cases with co-occurring disorders, providing you with a deeper understanding of the complexities involved in dual diagnoses.

• Proven track record of successfully implementing therapeutic interventions and adapting therapy styles to fit a range of client needs and preferences.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. New hires will also receive a sign-on bonus.
