Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments for pediatric patients, diagnosing and managing common childhood illnesses.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans addressing the developmental milestones of each child.
• Educate families on preventive healthcare measures, nutrition, and management of chronic conditions.
• Maintain thorough and accurate clinical documentation using electronic medical records (EMR) to ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborate seamlessly with attending physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to provide integrated care solutions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The focus of this role is primarily on pediatric patients ranging from infancy through adolescence. You will work closely with families to address a variety of health issues, from routine vaccinations to managing chronic conditions like asthma or diabetes. Your clinical expertise will guide families in understanding their children's unique health needs and ensure they receive the highest standard of care.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certification.
• An active Nurse Practitioner license in New York is required.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or a related field is mandatory.
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong focus on patient education.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in an outpatient pediatric setting.
