Key Responsibilities

• Deliver consistent, high-quality care aligned with nationally recognized standards and community practices.
• Collaborate with office staff to develop and implement efficient office practices enhancing patient flow and service delivery.
• Act as a liaison between practice management, hospital administration, and your colleagues to foster teamwork and optimize health system goals.
• Assure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards while actively championing patient advocacy.
• Maintain up-to-date patient records and ensure proper documentation within two business days post-service to meet regulatory and billing requirements.
• Participate in strategic planning initiatives and contribute to performance metrics aimed at improving patient care outcomes in our health system.
• Lead by example through professional conduct, actively engaging patients with compassion and respect.
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with healthcare providers and hospital leadership to support a seamless care continuum.
• Stay informed on evolving healthcare regulations and best practices, ensuring our services remain compliant and effective.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve managing a diverse patient population through our internal medicine services, with a focus on addressing acute and chronic health conditions. You will be responsible for delivering targeted healthcare to adult patients, utilizing your expertise to evaluate their individual needs, develop treatment plans, and ensure follow-up care is effectively coordinated. Your approach will be tailored to consider the unique preferences and requirements of each patient, establishing trust and promoting their overall health and well-being.

Qualifications

• New York State certification/registration as a Family, Adult, or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
• AANP Board Certification required.
• Current DEA license is a must.
• Ability to obtain necessary privileges at F. F. Thompson Health.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 coding is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an outpatient setting is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated competence in outpatient clinical medicine with the capability to assess and address age-specific health needs.

Compensation and Benefits

F. F. Thompson Health offers a competitive salary range of $150,000 to $160,000 annually, coupled with comprehensive benefits that include health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans, and continuing education opportunities.
