Work Environment

This LMFT position offers the flexibility of remote work, which allows therapists to manage their schedules efficiently without the constraints of a traditional office environment. While our therapists engage with patients virtually, they also have the option to meet in person at our outpatient office in Syracuse, enriching the therapeutic experience based on client preferences. Key Responsibilities

As an LMFT at Self Care Learning Counseling Center, your key responsibilities will include:

• Establishing and maintaining a positive and trusting rapport with clients to facilitate effective therapy sessions.
• Conducting thorough assessments to diagnose mental health disorders and developing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs.
• Leading one-on-one and group therapy sessions, addressing various issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and life transitions.
• Regularly meeting with patients to deliver counseling, monitor progress, and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Referring clients to external specialists or additional resources when more extensive support is required, facilitating a comprehensive approach to their mental health care.
• Documenting session notes and progress accurately and timely, complying with all relevant legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

• Current and active state licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is mandatory.
• Demonstrated experience in providing effective individual and/or group therapy in a clinical setting.
• Exemplary organizational and time-management skills to ensure efficient client management and adherence to administrative responsibilities.

Preferred Experience

While all licensed therapists are encouraged to apply, candidates with experience in treating diverse populations, those who are familiar with telehealth platforms, and who have specialized in family dynamic issues or trauma-informed care will be given priority. Knowledge of evidence-based practices and an understanding of the impact of cultural factors on mental health are also highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this full-time LMFT role ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits include:
