Work Environment

The work setting is dynamic and patient-focused, located within our surgical center, where modern facilities enable us to deliver high-quality health care. Our team operates Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, ensuring seamless coordination of care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations by obtaining thorough histories and performing physical assessments, allowing you to establish accurate diagnosis and treatment plans tailored to each individual's needs.
• Provide preventive health services, including routine check-ups, immunizations, screenings, and patient education focused on health maintenance and disease prevention strategies.
• Manage acute and chronic pain conditions through individualized treatment plans that may include medication management, physical therapy referrals, and counseling.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood tests and imaging studies, responding promptly to results that indicate the need for further intervention.
• Collaborate with specialists to ensure informed and comprehensive patient care, exemplifying teamwork and coordination in treatment approaches.
• Document all patient interactions thoroughly and accurately in our electronic health record system to maintain a comprehensive care continuum.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will focus on providing care for a diverse patient population, including individuals of all ages who suffer from pain-related conditions. Your role will allow you to build strong relationships with patients, guiding them through their treatment journeys while addressing both physical and emotional health concerns. Your ability to assess psychosocial factors will significantly impact patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• An active Physician Assistant license in New York State, demonstrating your commitment to maintaining professional standards.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in a physician assistant role, particularly in pain management or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, essential for interacting with patients, their families, and healthcare team members.
• Exceptional time management abilities, enabling you to manage multiple cases effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a surgical or outpatient pain management setting, which will enhance your capability to adapt quickly to our clinic’s unique workflows.

Compensation and Benefits
