Work Environment

This is an onsite position located in our friendly and well-equipped outpatient office in Newark, New Jersey. You will be part of a professional and diverse team of healthcare providers, where open communication and team collaboration are encouraged. Your work schedule will be Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical capabilities and develop personalized treatment plans based on their unique needs.
• Administer therapy services that include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and various modalities, ensuring the utmost care and compassion.
• Regularly monitor and document patients' progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to achieve the best possible outcomes.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, to coordinate and enhance patient care.
• Educate patients and their families about therapy techniques, safety practices, and home exercise programs to improve long-term health outcomes.
• Implement fall prevention strategies and safety measures, especially for patients in assisted living situations, to enhance their safety and independence.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in physical therapy, participating in continuing education opportunities to further enhance your skills and knowledge.
• Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality while providing exceptional care that aligns with organizational standards.

Your primary focus will be on geriatric patients, a population that presents unique challenges and opportunities for therapeutic interventions. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is mandatory; candidates with advanced degrees are encouraged to apply.
• Active and valid physical therapist licensure in the state of New Jersey is required.
• Demonstrated ability to apply evidence-based practices and the latest therapeutic techniques in the field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs) and documentation systems for effective patient management.
• Commitment to providing patient-centered care, promoting patient independence, and enhancing quality of life through therapy.

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of clinical experience in geriatric therapy is preferred, although new graduates passionate about serving the elderly are welcome to apply.
• Experience working in an outpatient clinic setting and familiarity with interdisciplinary care models is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
