Work Environment\n

As a remote position housed within our outpatient office setting, this role offers flexibility while maintaining close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team comprising psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and nurses. The typical work hours extend from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with occasional evening commitments based on client appointment needs. You will be joining a supportive and collegial atmosphere that values professional development and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health conditions and substance use issues, ensuring accurate identification of co-occurring disorders.

• Collaborate with clients to develop tailored and effective treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions addressing both mental health and substance use needs.

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions aimed at enhancing clients' coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, and emotional regulation techniques.

• Coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team to implement integrated and holistic treatment protocols that improve client outcomes.

• Monitor clients’ progress regarding substance use issues and employ motivational interviewing techniques to encourage engagement in their recovery journey.

• Educate clients and their families about co-occurring disorders, emphasizing the importance of adherence to treatment and the benefits of integrated care.

• Document treatment progress, interventions, and referrals meticulously to align with legal and ethical guidelines.
\n
• Engage in case conferences, staff meetings, and ongoing training sessions to continually enhance your expertise in evidence-based co-occurring disorder treatments.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on individuals experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, requiring therapists to navigate the complexities of each case while recognizing the unique challenges faced by this population. Your contributions will directly impact clients’ recovery outcomes, fostering independence and holistic wellness.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Arizona.
\n
• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapies for co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• A robust understanding of the interaction between mental health conditions and substance use disorders, enabling effective treatment approaches.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, providing the ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary care team.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working in integrated care settings that focus on mental health and substance use disorders.

• Training or certification in trauma-informed care or other relevant specialties would be beneficial in providing holistic support to clients.
