Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and comprehensive physical examinations to assess patient health and identify any concerns.
• Diagnose and treat a variety of acute and chronic health conditions, ranging from minor injuries to more complex health issues.
• Order, perform, and interpret essential diagnostic tests, including imaging and laboratory tests, to aid in accurate diagnosis.
• Develop, implement, and monitor effective treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs and health goals.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
• Maintain meticulous medical records utilizing ICD-9 coding to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to build a comprehensive and effective care plan for patients.
• Educate patients on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options to empower them to take charge of their health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on an array of urgent care patients, including individuals experiencing acute medical issues, injuries, and illnesses, as well as promoting preventative health measures. You will be serving a diverse demographic, ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics, allowing you to broaden your clinical skills while making a tangible difference in your community's health.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in urgent care, family medicine, or a related field.
• A Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid Nurse Practitioner license and board certification in your specialty area.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology, and appropriate clinical protocols.
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems, including documentation practices and coding.

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on experience in emergency medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, or specialty areas like cardiology will be an added advantage.
• Experience performing procedures relevant to urgent care, such as suturing, administering injections, or conducting physical assessments.
• Familiarity with lifting techniques and patient care protocols, particularly in managing a diverse range of patients.

Compensation and Benefits
