Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to identify mental health needs, strengths, and areas for intervention among students.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions using various evidence-based modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed care.

• Develop, implement, and regularly evaluate individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's unique circumstances and goals.

• Work collaboratively with teachers, school counselors, and other professionals to create a comprehensive and coordinated approach to student mental health.

• Deliver crisis intervention services as necessary, ensuring that all assessments, safety plans, and interventions maintain a student-centered focus.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions to comply with ethical, legal, and organizational standards.

• Facilitate psychoeducation classes for students, parents, and staff to promote understanding of mental health issues and resources available.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on school-age children and adolescents who may be experiencing a variety of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related issues, and behavioral challenges. You will engage with a diverse client population, ensuring that your therapeutic practices are culturally relevant and sensitive to the unique backgrounds of the students you support.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.

• Current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York.
