This full-time position offers the unique opportunity to support students with diverse special needs, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, and trauma-informed care, from the comfort of your own remote work environment in El Paso, Texas.

Work Environment\n

This role is a remote position, providing flexibility while allowing you to have a significant impact on the mental health of students. You will work Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend shifts required based on the program's needs. This dynamic setting necessitates a collaborative and resourceful mindset, as you will engage with a variety of professionals, including educators and therapists, to ensure holistic support for our students.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for students, identifying their unique strengths and areas of need.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address mental health issues and promote emotional wellness and integration into school life.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored for ASD, learning disabilities, behavioral and emotional disorders, and PTSD.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at personal growth and equipping students with effective coping strategies.
\n
• Offer crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies, ensuring students' safety and well-being.
\n
• Educate students and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available resources.
\n
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals to develop holistic care approaches for students, fostering team meetings and case conferences.

• Ensure accountability and compliance by maintaining accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in adherence to legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in continuous professional development and training to enhance skills and stay informed about evolving practices in mental health and education.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on students within the Special Education Program who possess a range of mental health challenges, including but not limited to autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, trauma-related issues, and emotional disturbances. Your contributions will directly impact their academic performance and social interactions, enabling a supportive pathway to successful integration into their educational community.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of Texas.
\n
• Strong understanding of various mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and trauma-informed care best practices.

• Proficient in conducting thorough mental health assessments and the ability to articulate diagnosis and treatment strategies.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, allowing for effective communication with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

• A strong commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and ethics.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure experience is strongly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
