This full-time position is focused on providing therapeutic support and counseling to children, adolescents, and families dealing with various mental health challenges. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the mental health needs of clients, developing individualized treatment plans that address their unique challenges.

• Provide direct therapeutic services, including individual, group, and family therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to support clients effectively.

• Monitor client progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans, ensuring that interventions are aligned with client goals and needs.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, goals, and progress while complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.

• Participate actively in team meetings and case consultations, sharing insights and collaborating with colleagues to enhance service delivery.

• Engage in crisis intervention as needed, utilizing de-escalation techniques and developing safety plans for clients in acute distress.

• Advocate for client needs by coordinating with external agencies, schools, and family members to ensure comprehensive support.
\n
• Perform safety checks and adhere to protocols for identifying and reporting unsafe situations, contributing to a safe environment for clients and staff.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position will specifically focus on under-served populations, including children, adolescents, and their families who are experiencing significant emotional disorders or mental health challenges. It involves working with clients from various cultural backgrounds, acknowledging the diversity of traditions and beliefs that may influence their treatment. Your ability to establish rapport and trust will be integral to facilitating effective therapeutic relationships.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the state of Texas is required.

• A Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field is mandatory, with a preference for candidates holding a Master's degree.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating the capacity to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively.

• Proven organizational and planning abilities, showcasing your capability to manage case loads and documentation efficiently.

• Adept at working with diverse populations, displaying cultural competence and sensitivity in therapeutic settings.

Preferred Experience\n

A minimum of two years of clinical experience is preferred, with a strong background in mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment techniques. Familiarity with evidence-based practices and trauma-informed care approaches is highly valued. Experience within hospice or integrated healthcare settings will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Youth Empowerment Services offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 85,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
