Work Environment

Our rehabilitation facility is designed to provide a supportive and engaging environment where therapists and residents can thrive together. With a dedicated therapy suite equipped with advanced therapeutic tools and modalities, our onsite setting ensures the optimal facilitation of rehabilitation goals. You will work a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing you to enjoy work-life balance while providing essential care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations to assess the physical capabilities and rehabilitation needs of each resident. This will include detailed assessments of mobility, strength, and functional capabilities.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to enhance residents' physical abilities through targeted exercises, manual therapy, and other therapeutic interventions.
• Administer hands-on therapeutic techniques, employing evidence-based practices to maximize recovery, improve functional independence, and prevent deterioration of physical health.
• Educate residents and their family members on effective rehabilitation and recovery strategies, fostering a proactive approach to health and wellness.
• Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems to accurately document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans based on evidence and resident feedback.
• Participate in ongoing professional development by staying current with new techniques and advancements in the field of physical therapy to continuously enhance patient care services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary clientele includes elderly residents in assisted living who often face unique physical challenges. You will specialize in providing rehabilitation services that cater to age-related impairments, chronic conditions, and post-operative recovery needs. Your role will include working closely with patients to promote mobility, strength, balance, and overall well-being, ensuring they receive optimal care tailored to their individual circumstances.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution; Master's or Doctorate degrees are encouraged.
• A valid Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey, currently in good standing.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a rehabilitation or assisted living setting is preferred; however, new graduates are also welcome to apply.
• Proficiency in a range of manual therapy techniques and a strong emphasis on a patient-centered approach to treatment.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, such as WebPT, is a distinct advantage.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will possess experience in rehabilitative methodologies that benefit geriatric populations, including knowledge of age-specific therapeutic practices. Proficiency in patient assessment techniques, as well as background in working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, will be highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 , based on experience and qualifications.
