Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Great Motion Healing Center, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing individual counseling and crisis intervention for patients experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges, facilitating assessments and tailored treatment plans.

• Maintaining open and effective communication with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, to report on patient progress and address any emerging concerns or needs.

• Recording accurate clinical and progress notes promptly, adhering to departmental standards and ensuring that documentation is complete and compliant.
\n
• Collaborating with healthcare team members in creating comprehensive treatment plans and discharge strategies that address the psychosocial needs identified during assessments.

• Building relationships with community resource groups to advocate for our patients' social needs and representing the organization in relevant meetings and committees.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your caseload may include a diverse range of individuals, including children dealing with developmental issues, adolescents facing challenges related to anxiety and self-esteem, and adults coping with mental health disorders. Our goal is to ensure that every patient receives tailored interventions that promote their unique pathways to mental wellness.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• At least three years of clinical experience in an outpatient setting, demonstrating a mastery of therapeutic interventions and methodologies.

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Active licensure in the state of California as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to cultivate professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and other healthcare providers.

• Proficient verbal and written communication skills, enabling clear conveyance of treatment plans and patient status updates.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in telehealth services, specialized trainings in evidence-based therapies, or proficiency in working with specific populations such as teenagers or trauma survivors will be highly regarded. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems will also be beneficial for this role.
