Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments to identify client concerns and collaboratively develop tailored treatment plans that align with their therapeutic goals.

• Facilitate one-on-one therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), to address mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and trauma.

• Offer crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing acute distress, ensuring safety and stabilization while helping them navigate their challenges.

• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, both within and outside the clinic, to deliver comprehensive client care and maintain a holistic approach to treatment.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Actively participate in regular training and workshops to enhance your clinical skills and stay updated on best practices within the field of mental health counseling.

• Contribute to ongoing program development initiatives, providing innovative ideas to improve the quality of services offered at Sunflower Mental Health Counseling Center.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals, couples, and families grappling with a variety of mental health challenges. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and experiences, requiring you to provide culturally competent and inclusive care that respects individual differences while promoting healing and growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.

• Current licensure as an LPCC, LCSW, or LMFT within California.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of three years of experience providing counseling services to individuals facing emotional and psychological challenges is preferred.

• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to establish rapport quickly with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Demonstrated familiarity using electronic medical records systems to maintain client documentation effectively.

• Experience in offering therapy to couples and families is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n

In this role, you can expect to earn a salary ranging from USD 78,000 to 115,000 per year , commensurate with experience and qualifications. Full-time counselors are also eligible for a monthly healthcare stipend.
