Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing flexibility while maintaining a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Depending on patient needs, some variations in hours may be necessary. You will primarily interact with clients through virtual sessions, but you'll also collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand the patient’s trauma history deeply.

• Design and implement tailored treatment plans that focus on individual recovery processes and building resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing specific techniques to help patients process their trauma and develop effective coping strategies.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure coordinated care, focusing on each patient's comprehensive needs.

• Provide timely crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, helping patients find immediate relief.

• Educate both patients and their families about trauma responses and constructive coping mechanisms.

• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation in accordance with all legal and ethical guidelines.

• Engage in case consultations and team meetings, contributing to a collaborative care approach.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Illinois.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is essential for success in this role.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities, alongside resilience-building practices.

• Proficiency in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions that address emotional and psychological needs.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, exhibiting a non-judgmental and empathetic demeanor with patients.

• Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations, ensuring optimal care for those in crisis.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and a solid understanding of relevant computer applications.
