Better You Mental and Wellness Center is seeking an accomplished and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team as a full-time Clinical Mental Health Therapist. In this unique remote setting, you will focus specifically on mood disorders, contributing to the mental wellness of our clients across Jacksonville, Florida.

Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, enabling a flexible work-life balance, while also requiring occasional in-person sessions at our outpatient office. You will enjoy regular collaboration with psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team, who are all equally dedicated to providing integrated mental health care. Our work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with some evenings and weekends required on a rotating basis, providing a unique opportunity to enhance your clinical skills in varied settings.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth assessments of clients to identify and evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms, including anxiety and depression.

• Work collaboratively with clients to create customized treatment plans that align with their specific challenges, aspirations, and therapeutic goals.

• Implement a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to effectively treat mood disorders.

• Educate clients and their families about different treatment options, self-care strategies, and coping mechanisms, to empower them on their mental health journey.
\n
• Continuously monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as required, ensuring that all interventions are responsive to evolving needs.

• Engage in collaborative care, working alongside psychiatrists and other medical professionals to ensure all aspects of a client’s mental health are treated holistically.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation related to client interactions, assessments, and therapeutic interventions, adhering to legal and ethical guidelines.
\n
• Participate in case consultations and team meetings to enhance collective knowledge and refine treatment practices based on the latest research developments.

• Act as a strong advocate for clients, working to reduce the stigma associated with mood disorders and emphasizing the importance of mental health awareness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals facing various mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders. Our clientele encompasses a diverse demographic, providing you with the opportunity to engage with individuals from different backgrounds and life experiences, enhancing both your approach and therapeutic techniques.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a recognized institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, with a strong preference for specialization in mood disorders.
\n
• Thorough knowledge of evidence-based treatment techniques, particularly CBT and DBT.
\n
• Experience collaborating with psychiatrists and familiarity with psychopharmacology as it relates to client treatment.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to achieve successful outcomes for clients facing mood disorders, underscoring a proactive approach to mental wellness.

• Exceptional communication skills, with an aptitude for building rapport with clients who come from varied socio-cultural backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary range for this position is USD 80,000 to 100,000, dependent upon experience and qualifications. We also offer a sign-on bonus to new hires, enhancing your total compensation package.
