Work Environment\n

This role will primarily be remote, allowing for flexibility and the ability to connect deeply with our patient population across Fullerton, California. While working in a virtual capacity, you will engage with school staff, students, and their families, providing essential support and continuity of care. Key Responsibilities\n

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker will perform a variety of essential duties, including:

• Conducting thorough assessments of students' psychosocial needs and creating individualized treatment plans aimed at addressing these needs.

• Providing case management and short-term counseling, particularly around crisis intervention.
\n
• Guiding and assisting students in completing forms for entitlement programs, supplemental insurance, and other applications that promote their access to necessary services.

• Actively advocating for students within the school and connecting them with community agencies for additional support when required.
\n
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation, which are crucial for providing comprehensive care.

• Facilitating educational sessions for both students and parents about mental health resources and support services available to them.

• Collaborating with educational staff during case conferences to ensure a cohesive approach to student support.
\n
• Participating in Quality Improvement and Assurance activities to enhance overall program effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily focus on school-aged children and adolescents, offering direct support to those facing mental health challenges. Your intervention will play a pivotal role in their academic performance, emotional health, and overall well-being. The goal is to create a safe environment where students can discuss their challenges and work towards resilience. By focusing on early intervention and prevention strategies, this role contributes significantly to improving student outcomes.

Qualifications\n

To be successful in this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a related field is required.

• Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is highly preferred.

• A minimum of two years of professional experience in a social work role is necessary, with five years preferred.

• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook is necessary to ensure effective documentation and communication.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential to foster positive relationships with students and collaborate with the school staff.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience specifically in a school setting or with pediatric populations is highly desirable. Compensation and Benefits\n
