Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will center around providing high-quality counseling services, which may include the following:

• Conducting thorough assessments of clients to determine their unique mental health needs and developing personalized treatment plans.

• Maintaining open lines of communication between various stakeholders, including supervisors, family members, and other healthcare professionals, to discuss individual progress and adapt care as necessary.

• Organizing and executing a tentative schedule of appointments, home visits, and observations to effectively monitor the clients’ progress and maintain documentation.
\n
• Coordinating in-home visits that fulfill requirements for chart reviews, staff interviews, and data analysis, ensuring that the program plan is not only implemented but also effective.

• Engaging in regular interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing to a collaborative approach to client care.
\n
• Completing necessary monthly and quarterly progress notes to track client developments and inform treatment adjustments.
\n
• Facilitating staff training to ensure competency in program implementation and documentation processes.
\n
• Providing consistent follow-up through interviews, home visits, and observations to support clients’ ongoing needs.
\n
• Maintaining accurate and easily accessible client records to ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

• Acting as a liaison with community resources and mental health services to promote client development goals and access to support.

• Assisting in the creation of training materials to enhance program procedures and educational activities for individuals and staff.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working with a diverse population, including both adults and youth, addressing a range of mental health issues. This role allows you to specialize in your areas of interest, whether that includes trauma-informed care, substance misuse, or family and couples therapy, to empower individuals on their healing journey.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.

• An active and unrestricted LPC license in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• A minimum of two years of experience in a counseling role, preferably within a clinical setting.

• A deep understanding of legal and ethical standards pertinent to mental health practice.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills necessary for establishing rapport with clients from various backgrounds.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Preferred Experience\n

While experience in each of these areas is not mandatory, the following are preferred:

Compensation and Benefits\n
