This full-time position is based in our outpatient office in Highland Park. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients with various conditions, assessing their physical capabilities and limitations to formulate individualized treatment plans.
• Implement treatment plans that may include therapeutic exercises, manual therapies, and the use of modalities to alleviate pain and enhance mobility.
• Regularly track and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on the patient's development and feedback.
• Facilitate hands-on therapy, providing instruction on exercises and stretches that patients can also perform at home to expedite their recovery.
• Advise on the appropriate use of assistive devices to promote self-care and enhance daily functioning.
• Educate patients, their families, and caregivers on physical therapy techniques and the importance of adherence to the treatment plan.
• Stay informed about advancements in physical therapy by participating in continuous education workshops and professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a diverse population ranging from children to older adults, addressing a myriad of health issues including musculoskeletal disorders, post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Each patient's unique background and specific challenges will require you to tailor your approach to ensure effective healing and recovery.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required; however, candidates with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) are encouraged to apply.
• Must possess a valid state license to practice physical therapy in New Jersey.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems for documentation and assessment tracking.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing patient needs in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

• While prior work experience is not mandatory, candidates with some clinical experience will be favored.

Compensation and Benefits
