Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand patients' trauma histories and establish individualized treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate recovery.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding clients through the process of trauma resolution, skill-building, and emotional healing.

• Collaborate proactively with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate holistic care and ensure comprehensive treatment strategies for clients.

• Provide crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, offering immediate support and stabilization as needed.

• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses and effective coping mechanisms, ensuring they feel empowered and informed about their treatment journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience preferred, with a strong focus on trauma-informed care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
