Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Ace Allied Psychotherapy Services, you will be responsible for a variety of essential tasks aimed at providing the highest quality of care:

• Conduct thorough initial consultations and continuous assessments to evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that encompass individual, group, and family therapy, tailoring interventions to meet the unique challenges faced by each client.

• Facilitate both one-on-one counseling and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to enhance client engagement and progress.

• Regularly monitor and document clients' progress throughout their treatment journey, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, social workers, and medical professionals, to coordinate comprehensive care.

• Assist clients in managing challenging behaviors and preventing potential setbacks in their recovery.

• Support families and primary caregivers, providing them with strategies and resources to aid their loved ones in the healing process.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will impact a diverse population facing a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. You will have the opportunity to work with individuals of all ages, along with couples and families, providing nuanced care that addresses their specific circumstances and needs.

Qualifications\n

The following qualifications are required for applicants:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker-R (LCSW-R) in New York State.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to explain complex concepts clearly to clients.

Preferred Experience\n

In addition to the required qualifications, the following experience is preferred:

• Demonstrated experience in mental health counseling with a focus on psychotherapeutic interventions.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as AVATAR.

• A strong understanding of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and ethical guidelines.

Compensation and Benefits\n
