Role Overview
Provide expert electrical and field-operations knowledge to analyze, clarify, and annotate technical materials that will be used to train next-generation AI systems. This remote contractor opportunity relies on hands-on experience with electrical systems and field operations, and requires strong written and verbal communication to translate visually dense technical documentation into clear, actionable insights. No prior AI experience is required.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze, interpret, and explain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control system documentation for use in AI training datasets.
- Review, annotate, and validate technical materials, including equipment layouts, inspection reports, and operational procedures.
- Evaluate electrical troubleshooting scenarios and document analytical approaches and solutions using industry best practices.
- Assess and clarify technical manuals and field operation guides, ensuring content accuracy and clarity for non-expert audiences.
- Provide detailed feedback on documentation quality related to field operations and electrical systems design.
- Collaborate asynchronously to share technical context, real-world scenarios, and practical insights.
- Contribute to the refinement of workflows and processes by identifying information gaps and communicating technical nuances.
- Demonstrated expertise in electrical systems and field operations, including control systems, automation, and instrumentation.
- Experience interpreting and producing technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and operational documentation.
- Required skills include electrical systems design, control systems, technical documentation, electrical troubleshooting, field operations, schematic interpretation, automation systems, instrumentation, written communication, verbal communication, attention to detail, process optimization, remote collaboration, and analytical thinking.
- Relevant backgrounds include Electrical Engineer, Controls Engineer, Automation Engineer, Instrumentation Engineer, Electrician, or Maintenance Supervisor.
- Previous work reviewing technical documentation, optimizing processes, or analyzing field data is a plus.
- Role type: Independent contractor.
- Location: Remote, digital-first and primarily asynchronous collaboration.

Pay range: $40.00 to $50.00 per hour.
