Avicenna Counselling & Associates is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our expanding team. As a full-time therapist, you will have the flexibility to work remotely while delivering essential mental health services to our diverse clientele. Your primary role will focus on providing relationship counseling, family therapy, and mental health interventions aimed at improving the lives of individuals and families.

Work Environment

This is a remote position with full-time hours, allowing you to maintain work-life balance while contributing to important mental health initiatives. The health clinic operates from Monday to Friday, between 9 AM and 5 PM, providing a structured environment while allowing flexibility in your daily routine.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients’ therapeutic needs, strengths, and goals.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based therapies.
• Facilitate therapeutic sessions with individuals, couples, and families, addressing various relational and mental health issues.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure individualized, high-quality care for clients.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and participate in supervision and consultations.
• Provide crisis intervention when necessary, ensuring client safety and well-being.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a diverse population, where you will provide counseling to individuals and families facing a range of challenges such as relationship conflicts, stress management, grief, anxiety, and depression. Understanding and respecting cultural differences will be crucial to developing effective therapeutic relationships and delivering tailored treatment.

Qualifications

To be eligible for this position, applicants must have:

• An active LMFT license in the state of California.
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling Psychology, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in relationship counseling, family therapy, and mental health services.
• A strong understanding of psychological principles and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage clients effectively.
• The capacity to work independently while being an active, collaborative team member.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnosis skills.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience with diverse cultural populations and familiarity with various therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), family systems therapy, or play therapy will be beneficial. Experience in documentation and compliance with health regulations is also highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

The role offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
