Work Environment

Your work will take place in an onsite rehabilitation facility in Long Beach, California, where you will collaborate with a small but dedicated team comprising two other physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA). Our collaborative environment fosters professional growth and enhances the delivery of patient care, as we work together to implement best practices and evidence-based treatments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial evaluations and assessments to identify patient needs and set realistic treatment objectives.
• Maintain an efficient patient load, typically scheduling one patient per hour to ensure focused care.
• Utilize your expertise in orthopedic outpatient practices to administer tailored, cost-effective therapies that enhance patients' range of motion and functional mobility.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans in alignment with individual patient goals, employing diverse therapeutic techniques.
• Create customized fitness and wellness programs that address the unique needs and capabilities of each patient.
• Provide compassionate support and motivation throughout the treatment process to help patients achieve optimal outcomes.
• Monitor patient progress, evaluate treatment outcomes, and adjust plans as necessary, maintaining detailed records in accordance with our evidence-based practices.
• Coordinate with healthcare team members to ensure cohesive care and enhance patient recovery experiences.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on individuals dealing with orthopedic challenges, including post-surgical recovery and sports-related injuries. We cater to a diverse population of patients, primarily those with private medical insurance, providing tailored interventions that support their recovery and enhance their physical capabilities.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Currently licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state of California.
• Clean record with no board or disciplinary actions on your licensure.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and their application within clinical practice.
• Experience in designing and implementing effective exercise programs based on individual patient needs.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) software, preferably WebPT, for documentation and patient tracking.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desired.
• Demonstrable success in improving patient outcomes through evidence-based interventions.
• Experience with a variety of rehabilitation techniques and modalities.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
