Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist for Outpatient Care

Bonneville Peak Rehab and Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Long Beach, California. We primarily service patients with private medical insurance, ensuring that our treatment regimens align with the highest industry standards.

Work Environment

This onsite position involves working closely with a small team of two physical therapists and one Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in a bustling orthopedic outpatient practice. The work schedule operates Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing consistency and allowing for a manageable workload that supports optimal patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments by identifying and understanding patients' specific goals and care requirements in a rehabilitation setting.
• Efficiently manage a patient load of one individual per hour, allowing for dedicated attention and personalized treatment plans.
• Employ a variety of treatment techniques to provide cost-effective interventions that enhance clients' mobility and overall physical performance.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans that incorporate evidence-based practices to motivate and engage patients.
• Facilitate patients' progress by continuously assessing treatment outcomes, documenting care provided, and adjusting therapies as necessary.
• Educate patients on wellness strategies, promoting lifestyle changes that aim to improve strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain open lines of communication with patients to enhance their treatment experiences and address any concerns that may arise.
• Document all patient interactions, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in accordance with organizational policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of our practice includes a diverse range of orthopedic cases, providing care for individuals recovering from sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and various other musculoskeletal conditions. Our commitment to quality patient care has fostered strong relationships with our clientele, ensuring they receive personalized treatment tailored to their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current certification and license to practice as a Physical Therapist in California, with a clean professional record.
• Demonstrated expertise in manual therapy techniques and a strong foundation in exercise rehabilitation.
• Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, particularly platforms like WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, providing a solid understanding of the unique challenges and treatment modalities within this specialty.
• Experience developing and implementing individualized exercise regimens that are effective in promoting patient mobility and functionality.

Compensation and Benefits
