Work Environment

This position is onsite at our rehabilitation facility located in Chantilly, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred for physical therapy by physicians, developing individualized treatment plans.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and interventions that address a range of conditions, including orthopedic, neurologic, pediatric, and sports medicine cases.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service, fostering relationships with patients and their families to optimize engagement and adherence to treatment protocols.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop integrated treatment strategies aimed at maximizing rehabilitation outcomes.
• Provide skilled therapeutic care in accordance with the physician's plan, adjusting techniques as needed based on patient progress.
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment goals, self-management strategies, and home exercise programs to ensure continuity of care.
• Meet established utilization goals and contribute to the operational success of the practice through participation in community outreach and education.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will have the opportunity to work closely with a varied patient demographic, including individuals recuperating from injuries, managing chronic conditions, and seeking preventative care. Qualifications

• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Hold a current state license in Physical Therapy and a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills, essential for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Demonstrate proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer applications relevant to patient documentation.

Preferred Experience

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is preferred.
• Two years of prior experience in a clinical setting is highly desirable.
• Experience working with specialty populations, including pediatric, neurologic, and orthopedic patients, will be an advantage.
• Holding a current CPR certification is a plus.
