Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments, documenting client cases comprehensively from the first consultation to the conclusion of treatment.

• Evaluate mental, behavioral, and emotional health status to identify specific client needs and areas for improvement.

• Create individualized intervention and recovery plans for various demographics, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to client needs.
\n
• Monitor client progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary, ensuring optimal outcomes and adjustments based on evolving circumstances.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including other mental health professionals and healthcare providers, to coordinate comprehensive client care.

• Provide follow-up consultations with psychiatrists and attending physicians for hospitalized clients to ensure continuity of care.

• Identify potential obstacles to recovery, implementing preventative measures and strategies for client wellbeing.

• Support family members and primary caregivers, offering guidance on managing mental health challenges within their home environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client base includes children, adolescents, adults, and families dealing with various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioral disorders, and addiction. We emphasize a holistic understanding of mental health, accounting for the unique backgrounds and experiences of our clients to provide tailored strategies that promote healing and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Virginia.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong proficiency in using electronic health record systems, with a preference for experience with AVATAR.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear interactions with clients and team members.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor to foster a trusting therapeutic relationship.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working as a mental health counselor intensively focusing on diverse clinical populations.

• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices.

• Knowledge of the impact of physical health conditions and substance abuse disorders on mental health.

• Experience developing and applying innovative treatment methodologies in therapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This rewarding position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, reflecting the experience and qualifications of the candidate.
