Work Environment\n

This position will primarily be remote, allowing you the flexibility to conduct therapy sessions from your home while having the resources of our outpatient office in Buffalo at your disposal. Our practice operates with a client-centered approach, and you will have access to a wealth of resources including clinical support and a network of collaborative professionals. This role entails Monday through Friday working hours from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional evening and weekend hours on a rotational basis to accommodate client needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of their mood disorder symptoms.

• Work collaboratively with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that align with their personal needs and treatment goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate client progress.

• Provide education and support to clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and essential self-care strategies.

• Regularly monitor and assess clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated, comprehensive care for clients.

• Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in the treatment of mood disorders to enhance therapeutic approaches.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of all client interactions and treatment plans in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in case consultations and team meetings to share insights and improve practice standards.

• Become a client advocate, working to de-stigmatize mental health issues and promote awareness of mood disorder support services.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The patients you will support are primarily adults and adolescents experiencing a range of mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Qualifications\n

• A valid and current license as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, LMFT, or PsyD in the state of New York.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, with a focus on mood disorders preferred.

• Demonstrated expertise in using recognized evidence-based treatment modalities such as CBT and DBT.

• Strong understanding of psychopharmacology and the capability to work effectively with psychiatrists and other health professionals.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to develop rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years’ experience specializing in mood disorders is required, candidates with additional years of experience in clinical practice and demonstrated success in treating such conditions will stand out. Familiarity with specific assessments and treatment tools used in mood disorder therapy will be an advantage. The position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, complemented by potential bonuses based on performance.
