Work Environment\n

This Remote position is designed for individuals seeking flexibility while contributing to an essential service. Our telehealth setting allows therapists to connect with clients in the comfort of their own homes, expanding access to mental health support for those who might otherwise face barriers. With a structured Monday through Friday workweek from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, you’ll also have the opportunity for occasional evening and weekend shifts on a rotational basis to accommodate our clients' schedules, enhancing their accessibility to care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients presenting symptoms of mood disorders, evaluating the severity, frequency, and implications for treatment.

• Collaborate closely with clients to craft individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs, preferences, and mental health goals.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), addressing mood disorders effectively.

• Educate clients and their families regarding mood disorder management, including available treatment options and practical self-care strategies.

• Monitor, document, and assess client progress throughout the treatment process, adapting plans as necessary to improve outcomes.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and cohesive care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State.

• At least two years of post-licensure experience, with a demonstrated expertise in treating mood disorders preferred.

• Proficient in evidence-based modalities, specifically CBT and DBT, and knowledgeable about psychopharmacology.

• Strong communication skills with a knack for building rapport and trust with clients from varied backgrounds.
