Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote and leverages telehealth technologies to connect with clients. You will be working during standard business hours, specifically Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The clinic prioritizes a work-life balance, offering the flexibility of a remote work setting combined with the structure of scheduled business hours. You'll utilize modern telehealth platforms to conduct sessions and maintain client engagement effectively.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients experiencing mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related issues. Gather information through interviews, standardized assessment tools, and medical histories to inform treatment planning.

• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that address their specific needs, goals, and preferences—utilizing tools like care planning software to document and adjust care based on client progress and feedback.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Engage clients in active therapeutic practices to foster their emotional resilience and coping mechanisms.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care strategies, ensuring they have a comprehensive understanding of their mental health journey.

• Regularly monitor and track clients' progress throughout their treatment journey, making adjustments to plans as necessary based on clinical updates and changing client needs.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the integration of medication management and psychotherapeutic care, enhancing overall client outcomes.

• Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to continually enhance therapeutic strategies and effectiveness.

• Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in alignment with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in case consultations and professional meetings to share insights and develop skills, while contributing to the clinic’s ongoing quality improvement initiatives.

• Act as an advocate for clients, promoting destigmatization of mental health issues and supporting access to mental health resources within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals experiencing various mood disorders, including but not limited to major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, and anxiety conditions. Our clientele reflects a broad spectrum of backgrounds and demographics, allowing you to engage with diverse perspectives and challenges. Your empathetic approach and clinical expertise will empower these individuals to manage their conditions effectively and improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Doctor of Psychology (PsyD), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.

• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, particularly in treating mood disorders; proficiency in CBT and DBT is crucial.

• A strong understanding of psychopharmacology to facilitate effective collaboration with psychiatrists and ensure comprehensive care delivery.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective rapport-building with clients and their families.

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience providing mental health counseling, particularly with mood disorder clients.

• Experience using telehealth platforms and electronic health records to support remote therapy delivery.

Compensation and Benefits\n
