Executive Assistant to Global Board Chair & Strategic Advisor

Executive Assistant Fully Remote (NYC preferred)

Full-time | Confidential Search

We are conducting an exclusive search on behalf of a confidential principal an internationally respected business leader, board chair and strategic advisor operating at the highest levels of finance, business, philanthropy, media and global public life.

This is not a traditional corporate EA role. It is a long-term operational partnership with a principal whose days move quickly between board work, strategic conversations, global travel, major initiatives and senior stakeholder relationships. Her previous Executive Assistant stayed for 20 years until retirement. That is the kind of partnership on offer here.

The principal is highly communicative, globally minded, intellectually curious and genuinely enjoyable to support. She values strong judgment, long-term relationships and a trusted counterpart who creates order and momentum without adding noise.

What you will own:

Calendar & Communications

  • Complex calendar and meeting management across boards, advisory roles and time zones coordinated, consistent, nothing missed
  • Email management and correspondence distilling, prioritising and drafting with precision
  • Liaison with senior executives, board offices, assistants and external stakeholders at the highest levels

Travel

  • Extensive international travel coordination logistics, itineraries, contingencies executed without friction
  • Anticipating schedule shifts before they happen and managing complexity before it becomes a problem

Operations & Life Management

  • Creating operational flow and clarity across a fast-moving portfolio spanning finance, philanthropy, media, scientific innovation and global public life
  • Acting as a trusted extension of the principal in day-to-day operations
  • Anticipating needs and removing friction before it appears not after

Who you are:

  • A seasoned professional with significant EA experience supporting CEOs, board chairs, founders or UHNW principals ideally in long-term positions where trust was built over time
  • Background in finance, private equity, philanthropy, media, global business or life sciences environments
  • Someone who brings genuine institutional knowledge, professional maturity and hard-won judgment to the role
  • Deeply organised, instinctively proactive and calm under pressure you have seen most things before and very little rattles you
  • Exceptional discretion and communication skills across every context written, verbal and interpersonal
  • Comfortable navigating international relationships and cross-cultural environments, including transatlantic and Irish connections
  • Entirely comfortable and entirely unfazed operating in proximity to highly influential, public-facing individuals. Quiet confidence and grounded maturity are non-negotiable
  • NYC-based strongly preferred; occasional in-person meetings with the principal required
