Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Connect Serenity, your essential responsibilities will include:

• Co-facilitating childbirth education and postpartum peer support groups in partnership with trained birth workers, addressing the mental health needs and experiences unique to birthing families.

• Engaging in community outreach initiatives that promote holistic wellness and encourage the building of supportive networks among individuals and families.
\n
• Participating in regular clinical consultations and multidisciplinary collaborative sessions to enhance treatment approaches and share best practices among peers.
\n
• Completing all necessary clinical documentation accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and regulations.
\n
• Providing direct behavioral health services such as assessments, counseling, and case management tailored to the needs of Black birthing families.
\n
• Collaborating with prenatal care team members, including medical providers, midwives, doulas, and lactation consultants, to deliver integrated care that addresses the full spectrum of client needs.

This position specifically focuses on serving Black birthing families, a demographic that often faces unique challenges within the healthcare system. Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A valid and active license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).

• A master’s degree in a behavioral science or related field from an accredited institution.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and professionally with diverse staff and clientele.

• Capacity to work autonomously and efficiently, recognizing when to seek assistance as needed.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience in community-based mental health programming, particularly focused on maternal and child health, is strongly preferred. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual service delivery will be advantageous as you adapt to this evolving healthcare landscape.

Compensation and Benefits\n
