Full-Time Outpatient Physical Therapist - Orthopedic Focus

Position Overview

Oro Valle Motion Physical Therapy Services is seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist to join our team full-time. In this critical role based in Lakewood, New Jersey, you will work closely with patients to enhance their mobility and regain their functional abilities through comprehensive, patient-centered care. You will be instrumental in guiding patients along their rehabilitation journey, implementing evidence-based practices that maximize their quality of life.

Located in the heart of Lakewood, Oro Valle Motion Physical Therapy Services is a well-respected orthopedic outpatient facility specializing in sports medicine and rehabilitation. Our state-of-the-art premises span over 5,000 square feet and are designed to provide a comfortable and supportive environment for patients and staff alike. Our team is composed of skilled professionals passionate about improving patient outcomes and delivering exceptional therapy services. We cater primarily to patients with private medical insurance, ensuring a focused and quality-driven approach to treatment.

Work Environment

This is an onsite position, requiring your presence at our outpatient office. You will be part of a cohesive team that includes two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), all committed to collaborative care. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a structured routine that supports balance between your professional responsibilities and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments to identify patients' needs, strengths, and rehabilitation goals in coordination with their medical history.
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans, ensuring that objectives align with the patient's recovery status and physical capabilities.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic exercise regimens tailored to enhance mobility, strength, and endurance, addressing the unique requirements of each patient.
• Engage in hands-on treatment techniques, including manual therapy, to improve patients' mobility and minimize pain.
• Efficiently manage a patient caseload of up to one patient per hour, maintaining high standards of care and patient engagement throughout each session.
• Document treatment progress, modification of care plans, and patient outcomes thoroughly using electronic medical record (EMR) software like WebPT.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams—physicians, specialists, and other therapists—to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
• Motivate and empower patients during their treatments, cultivating a positive environment that supports recovery and encourages their active participation.
• Implement preventive and rehabilitative strategies that help minimize medication reliance and improve patients' overall health.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.
• Current certification and license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Possession of a clean professional record with no board actions or disciplinary measures.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience specifically in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable, demonstrating an understanding of sports-related injuries and recovery.
• Proficiency in advanced manual therapy techniques and the ability to design and lead effective exercise programs.
• Experience with EMR software, particularly WebPT, to ensure efficient documentation and communication.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience.
