Work Environment

You will work in an onsite outpatient office focused on orthopedic physical therapy. Within our supportive environment, you will collaborate with a team consisting of two experienced physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant. Our facility is designed to foster continuous professional development and enhance the therapeutic experience for patients. Your weekly schedule will generally follow a Monday to Friday format, from 9 am to 5 pm, providing a balanced work-life harmony.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient needs and develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual goals and medical histories.
• Conduct one-on-one therapy sessions, maintaining an optimal patient load of one individual per hour to ensure focused and personalized care.
• Utilize evidence-based approaches to deliver high-quality therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing patient mobility.
• Administer cost-effective therapies that not only aim to increase range of motion but also minimize reliance on medication by advocating for non-surgical alternatives.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their recovery journey, employing strategies that enhance their functionality and overall well-being.
• Monitor patient progress rigorously, utilizing outcomes measures to adjust treatment approaches as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of therapy sessions and patient interactions within our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
• Offer guidance and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Design wellness programs that promote a healthy lifestyle, focusing on strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries or injuries, many of whom are eager to return to their pre-injury activities. Our patient base primarily consists of adults, including athletes and individuals over the age of 40, who require rehabilitation and support for musculoskeletal conditions. By leveraging your specialized skills, you'll help them navigate their recovery process while instilling confidence in their abilities to regain mobility and strength.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required to ensure a robust foundation in clinical practice.
• Must hold a valid physical therapy license in New Jersey, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
• Applicants should have a clean record free from any board or disciplinary actions on their license.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the ability to implement comprehensive exercise programs is essential.
• Experience with EMR software such as WebPT to enhance workflow efficiency.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working as a physical therapist in orthopedic outpatient settings greatly enhances the suitability for this role.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
