TheraSense Movement Rehab & Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and qualified Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Lakewood, New Jersey. Our team comprises experienced physical therapists and supportive staff committed to providing exceptional care primarily to individuals covered by private insurance. Work Environment

This position offers a dynamic onsite work setting within our clinical facility. The physical therapist will work during regular business hours, from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for consistency in patient care and treatment continuity. Our team includes two other physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), fostering a collaborative culture of learning and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their physical condition, strengths, weaknesses, and rehabilitation goals.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on the prevention, diagnosis, and intervention of movement dysfunction.
• Manage a caseload of patients efficiently, ensuring personalized one-on-one treatment sessions and quality outcomes.
• Utilize various therapeutic modalities and exercise techniques to improve patients' mobility and functional abilities, effectively reducing dependence on medications and invasive surgeries.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to discuss comprehensive patient management strategies.
• Provide education and motivation to patients regarding lifestyle changes, home exercise programs, and wellness strategies to enhance their rehabilitation journey.
• Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and treatments, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated with the latest therapies and methodologies in physical rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, postoperative rehabilitation, and those seeking enhancement of mobility. The practice predominantly serves individuals with private insurance, many of whom require specialized care to regain their functional independence.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is mandatory; however, a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Must hold a valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey, with a clean professional record.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing exceptional patient-centered care.
• Experience working in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with EMR software, specifically WebPT, will be advantageous.

Preferred Experience

While the required qualifications are crucial, we prefer candidates with prior experience working in a fast-paced orthopedic outpatient clinic. Familiarity with comprehensive care plans and evidence-based practice is essential to ensure our patients receive the highest quality of care.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, reflecting the skills and experience of the ideal candidate.
