Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite, allowing our therapists to engage directly with patients in their homes. Working Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the Orthopedic Physical Therapist will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions that foster recovery. The collaborative atmosphere encourages open communication within the team, which includes physicians, occupational therapists, nursing staff, and administrative personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough assessments to determine each patient's physical capabilities and limitations, considering their medical history and personal recovery goals.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that detail specific rehabilitation exercises, techniques, and modalities aimed at optimizing patient outcomes.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and the latest methodologies in orthopedic physical therapy to guide treatment decisions and improve effectiveness.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide integrated care solutions, sharing insights and adjustments to care plans as needed.
• Educate patients and their families on self-care techniques, injury prevention strategies, and home exercise regimens to reinforce therapy and ensure ongoing progress.
• Document patient progress in accordance with regulatory guidelines, ensuring accuracy and clarity in all communications regarding treatment interventions and results.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss patient cases and contribute to a culture of ongoing learning and development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions affecting their musculoskeletal health. As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Empower Move, you will work with individuals across diverse age groups, tailoring interventions for unique challenges and varying degrees of mobility. Your expertise will help guide them toward a successful recovery, restoring their functionality and independence.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• Active licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• At least two years of clinical experience in physical therapy, particularly within an orthopedic setting.
• Exceptional clinical reasoning and assessment skills, with a thorough understanding of therapeutic modalities relevant to orthopedic care.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills that facilitate effective interactions with patients, families, and team members.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with specific orthopedic populations, including post-surgical patients and those with chronic musculoskeletal conditions.
• Familiarity with home care service delivery and the ability to adapt treatment modalities to various home environments.

Compensation and Benefits

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 110,000 to 130,000 per year, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package.
