Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient’s background, trauma history, and current psychological state, leading to personalized treatment plans.

• Design, implement, and regularly revise individualized treatment plans, emphasizing trauma recovery and promoting mental resilience.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to each patient's specific needs.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma, develop healthy coping strategies, and promote overall healing.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide a holistic and integrated approach to patient care.
\n
• Offer crisis intervention support when necessary, providing immediate assistance during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, equipping them with valuable resources for their recovery journey.
\n
• Maintain accurate, discreet, and confidential clinical documentation in accordance with ethical and legal guidelines, ensuring all patient records are up-to-date.

• Actively participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development activities to enhance skills in trauma-informed care.

• Stay informed about new research and advancements in trauma therapy to continuously improve therapeutic practices and patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals affected by a variety of trauma-related disorders, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your expertise will not only help patients process their traumatic experiences but also assist them in building resilience and moving toward recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure in California as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT.
\n
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities, with a focus on trauma-informed care.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications.

• A collaborative attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, with a preference for experience directly related to trauma therapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n
