Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments through comprehensive interviews, ensuring thorough documentation of clients' cases from the first session to the conclusion of treatment.

• Evaluate the mental, emotional, and behavioral health of clients, utilizing evidence-based practices to formulate diagnostic impressions.

• Develop and tailor intervention and recovery plans targeting the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, or groups.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, adapting therapeutic techniques to meet varying client needs and preferences.
\n
• Track client progress throughout treatment, adjusting plans as necessary to promote effective recovery pathways.
\n
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare providers including psychiatrists, medical doctors, and social workers to ensure a cohesive treatment approach.

• Follow up with inpatient care teams for clients who require hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care through effective communication.
\n
• Identify barriers to recovery and implement proactive strategies to mitigate any factors hindering client progression.
\n
• Support family members and caregivers in managing the mental and behavioral challenges faced by their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will engage with a diverse client base, providing care to individuals facing a variety of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and addiction issues. You will also work with families and couples, aiding them in navigating relational dynamics and fostering healthier interactions.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Possession of a current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated previous experience as a mental health counselor, showcasing your ability to effectively engage with clients.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as AVATAR, facilitating efficient documentation and coordination of care.

Preferred Experience\n

• An understanding of co-occurring physical and mental health conditions, including addiction disorders, to provide optimal treatment plans.

• Familiarity with the best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Comprehensive knowledge of psychotropic medications and their implications for mental health care.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex information to clients and colleagues.

• Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits\n
