Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at the Comfort Orthoprime Clinic, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting initial consultations with patients to evaluate their physical conditions, symptoms, and treatment goals.
• Diagnosing movement dysfunctions and designing personalized treatment plans that integrate therapeutic exercises and innovative rehabilitation techniques.
• Instructing patients in proper exercise techniques and helping them to enhance their mobility and strength through guided routines.
• Administering hands-on modalities, such as massage and manual therapy, to alleviate pain and promote healing.
• Assisting patients in the proper use of mobility aids, including wheelchairs and walkers, to ensure safe navigation during their recovery process.
• Keeping accurate and thorough documentation of patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Providing education and support to patients and their families regarding in-home exercises and therapies to reinforce progress outside the clinical setting.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic serves a diverse patient population, including children, adults, and seniors—all with varying levels of mobility challenges and rehabilitation needs. You will work with individuals recovering from injuries, surgical procedures, chronic pain, and neurological conditions. This role requires an empathetic approach and the ability to adjust treatment methods to suit individual patient scenarios effectively.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid Physical Therapist license to practice in Virginia.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients and colleagues.
• Proficiency in basic word processing and record-keeping software.
• A flexible and proactive approach to patient care, showing the ability to adapt in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of direct patient care experience is required, candidates with experience in diverse clinical settings, particularly in outpatient rehabilitation facilities, will be preferred. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and evidence-based practice methodologies is advantageous.
