Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, establishing a tailored treatment plan based on individual needs and conditions.
• Implement and monitor treatment programs across various specialties, such as orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine, ensuring that you employ evidence-based practices to maximize patient outcomes.
• Provide therapeutic interventions directly in the clinic, as well as in home settings when necessary, executing procedures aimed at improving patients' functional abilities.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and maintain clear communication with patients, caregivers, and medical professionals to foster an effective therapeutic environment.
• Educate patients and their families about their conditions and involve them actively in the rehabilitation process, instilling confidence and motivation for their recovery.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address the broader aspects of patient care and ensure continuity of services, meeting established utilization goals and other practice objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Physical Therapist at Amber's, you will treat a diverse patient population, ranging from young children to elderly adults, encompassing a wide array of conditions. Your work will positively impact individuals recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic pain while considering their unique backgrounds and circumstances. Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-approved program.
• A current and valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.
• Proficiency in written and verbal communication, enabling effective interactions with patients and other team members.
• Competence in using word processing and electronic health record systems to document patient progress and treatment plans.
• Adeptness in building strong therapeutic relationships to encourage patients to meet and exceed their functional goals.
• A genuine interest in connecting positively with diverse individuals while building and maintaining community relationships.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of clinical experience as a licensed physical therapist, particularly in a rehabilitation facility setting.
• Hands-on experience in treating orthopedic and neurologic cases is highly desirable.
• Demonstrable success in utilizing evidence-based practices and patient education strategies.
