Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their movement dysfunctions and overall physical condition.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that incorporate therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and adaptive training.
• Educate patients and their families on proper exercise techniques and the use of therapeutic equipment, such as wheelchairs or walkers, to facilitate recovery.
• Document patient progress meticulously, tracking treatment outcomes and modifying care plans as necessary to ensure optimal healing.
• Demonstrate techniques and provide therapeutic modalities, including massage and electrical stimulation, to support pain management and rehabilitation.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic care strategies that meet patients' comprehensive needs.
• Maintain open communication with patients, offering encouragement and guidance for in-home treatment options and follow-up exercises.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our therapy services cater to a diverse range of patients, including children with developmental delays, adults recovering from surgeries or injuries, and elderly individuals managing chronic conditions. Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and team members.
• Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems for patient documentation.
• Ability to demonstrate a high level of adaptability and flexibility in various home environments.

Preferred Experience

While we require a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in physical therapy, we also welcome talented new graduates who are eager to learn and grow.
