Work Environment

This position requires an onsite presence, specifically in home care settings. As a Physical Therapist at Cross Country Physical Therapy, you will work closely with patients in their homes, allowing for personalized and tailored therapeutic interventions. We provide flexible working hours with a typical schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Our goal is to ensure that our therapists have manageable workloads while fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients in home care settings and developing comprehensive treatment plans based on individual assessments.
• Implementing a range of therapeutic interventions, such as exercise regimens, stretching techniques, hands-on therapy, and use of specialized equipment to alleviate pain and enhance mobility.
• Monitoring patient progress by documenting treatment effectiveness and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on objective criteria.
• Educating patients, their families, and caregivers about rehabilitation techniques and home exercises to support ongoing recovery.
• Staying up-to-date with the latest physical therapy practices through workshops and continued education.
• Collaborating with other healthcare providers when necessary to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

Our therapists serve a varied patient population, ranging from children to senior adults with diverse diagnoses, including post-surgical recovery, orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, and chronic pain syndromes. Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in physical therapy, particularly in a home care or outpatient setting.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in documentation and electronic health record systems.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the dynamic needs of patients in home settings.

Preferred Experience

While two years of experience is required, candidates with experience in home health care or pediatric physical therapy will be strongly considered. Your ability to creatively solve problems and adapt interventions to diverse environments will enhance your candidacy.
