The Athletics Therapy Center in Ashburn, Virginia is seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team in a full-time capacity. In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the quality of life for our senior patients receiving home care. Work Environment

This position will entail onsite interactions in the comfort of our patients' homes. As a full-time Physical Therapist, you will engage in a structured schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical capabilities and limitations, designing tailored treatment programs aimed at restoring function and alleviating pain.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions while continually monitoring patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary.
• Educate patients and their caregivers on prescribed exercises, modifications to daily activities that promote safety, and methods to enhance overall mobility.
• Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team including nurses, occupational therapists, and physicians to optimize patient outcomes and ensure holistic care.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment plans diligently, adhering to regulatory standards and maintaining accurate records.
• Engage in community wellness initiatives, promoting preventative measures and strategies for healthy living among our senior population.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on the geriatric population, specifically seniors within the home care setting requiring rehabilitation for various conditions. You will work with individuals recovering from surgeries, managing chronic illnesses, experiencing mobility challenges due to aging, or needing post-stroke rehabilitation. Your interventions will directly impact their ability to regain independence and improve their functional capabilities.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution; further education such as a Doctorate or Master's Degree is preferred.
• Current, unrestricted Virginia PT license in good standing.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Physical Therapist, particularly in geriatrics, rehabilitation, or home health settings.
• Strong communication and empathy-driven skills to engage effectively with patients and their families.
• A genuine passion for promoting independence and ensuring the dignity of aging adults.

Preferred Experience

• Proven experience in developing and implementing innovative therapy plans that prioritize patient needs and actionable goals.
• Familiarity with adaptive equipment and assistive technology that facilitates mobility and independence.
• Background in working with interdisciplinary teams and participation in case management.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. In addition, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
