Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist with Baystate Therapeutics, you will be responsible for:

• Directing and executing individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at enhancing patients' functional abilities, while alleviating pain and preventing disability.
• Assessing each client's level of function through diagnostic tests and applying your critical thinking skills to develop effective therapy strategies.
• Overseeing and mentoring Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure the appropriate execution of therapy interventions.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of clients' home environments to make informed recommendations that support independence and safety.
• Administering therapeutic exercises and treatments, employing both manual techniques and technology, while educating clients and families about therapy protocols.
• Documenting and maintaining accurate clinical records, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, to facilitate ongoing patient care and communication.
• Participation in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and contribute to comprehensive care planning.
• Providing consultation to clients and families regarding care strategies and equipment for rehabilitation, ensuring comprehensive understanding and engagement in care processes.
• Completing timely submissions of all documentation, orders, and payroll actions in accordance with company policies.
• Executing on-site functional assessments and adapting care plans as necessary to reflect clients' evolving needs.
• Remaining available for Physical Therapy Assistants during therapy sessions to provide guidance and support.

Qualifications

• A completed Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.

• Proficiency in various manual therapy modalities and strong capabilities in designing effective exercise programs customized to individual client needs.
• Experience in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, especially Web PT, for efficient documentation practices.
• A deep understanding of contemporary physical therapy techniques guided by current research.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with the following experience will be highly regarded:

• Prior involvement in home health care settings, providing therapy to clients in their residences.
• Experience in working with a variety of patient populations, including elderly individuals with multifaceted health issues.
