Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist working with Deep Care Physical Therapy, you will primarily work onsite, providing care directly in patients' homes. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patients' needs and capabilities, developing individualized treatment programs based on physician referrals and patient-specific goals.
• Implement diverse treatment modalities tailored to orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine patients, ensuring an adaptable approach to different cases.
• Utilize advanced therapeutic techniques and equipment effectively to facilitate recovery, employing practices that align with evidence-based guidelines.
• Provide education and support to patients and their caregivers, demonstrating exercises and offering advice to enhance mobility and pain management.
• Document patient progress meticulously, using electronic health record systems to ensure continuity of care and communication with team members.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role focuses on various patient demographics, including children recovering from sports injuries, adults managing chronic pain, and seniors requiring rehabilitation post-surgery. You will be instrumental in helping these individuals regain function and enhance their mobility, making substantial improvements in their daily lives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• A valid physical therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Completion of an APTA or CAPTE-approved physical therapy program.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on fostering rapport with patients and families.
• Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for rehabilitation practices and patient documentation.

Preferred Experience

Candidates should possess a minimum of two years of experience in physical therapy, ideally in a home care or outpatient setting. Experience treating diverse populations, employing evidence-based practices, and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team will be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits
