Work Environment

This role is performed onsite in the patients' homes across the Manassas area, which requires adaptability to varying conditions and environments. We provide our therapists with the necessary tools, resources, and patient support systems to succeed. Your working hours will be flexible, allowing you to choose your schedule from Monday to Friday, which helps promote a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough consultations with patients to assess their physical condition, identify symptoms, and understand individual rehabilitation goals.
• Diagnose movement dysfunction and design tailored treatment plans that address specific needs and outcomes for each patient.
• Educate patients on proper therapeutic techniques by demonstrating exercises and ensuring they understand how to implement them effectively in their daily routines.
• Utilize advanced techniques such as massage and stimulation therapy to encourage healing and promote physical improvement.
• Assist patients with necessary mobility equipment, including wheelchairs and walkers, ensuring they can navigate their environments safely.
• Document patient progress meticulously, maintaining accurate records to track improvements and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Provide ongoing guidance to both patients and their families regarding in-home treatment strategies and exercises that enhance recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse range of patients who present various physical challenges, allowing you to apply your expertise in dynamic settings. The focus will be on providing rehabilitation for children, adults, and seniors, adapting treatment plans to suit different age groups and physical capabilities. By working closely with patients in their homes, you can create a comfortable and encouraging environment that fosters optimal healing and progress.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is preferred for advanced clinical capabilities.
• Possession of a valid Physical Therapy license in Virginia.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with patients and their families, and document care.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical record systems.
• Dynamically adaptable, capable of responding to the unique needs of patients in home settings.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with at least two years of clinical experience in physical therapy will be preferred, particularly those with a background in home care settings or working with diverse patient populations. Experience in rehabilitative therapies for post-operative patients, chronic pain management, or neurorehabilitation will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
